Moss & Milk Café: Rooted in Community, Crafted with Care
Located within the Tsawaak RV Resort's visitors centre, Moss & Milk is a warm, welcoming community café serving breakfast and lunch to locals and visitors alike. "We really tried to make our café about the connection between the culture, the community here, and the environment," says co-owner Valentine.
Whether you're staying at Tsawaak in an RV or cabin, walking down the beautiful Tin Wis Beach, or looking for something a little different while visiting Tofino, Moss & Milk offers a simple, nourishing reason to pause. The café features a Levantine-inspired menu that changes seasonally, thoughtfully combining ethically sourced Middle Eastern ingredients with local, island-grown produce. From hand-pressed espresso to fresh pastries and hearty breakfast and lunch offerings, every dish reflects a commitment to flavour, quality, and supporting the community that makes this coast home.
It was a natural step for Moss & Milk to become Tribal Park Allies and participate in this program. "We decided to become Tribal Parks Allies because the values just so closely align with our own. We think it's important to take responsibility for the impact we have just by being here, and by giving some of that back to the community so they can continue taking care of the land and the community in general," says Valentine. The café welcomes everyone—from Tsawaak guests to community members and visitors exploring Tofino—creating a gathering place that celebrates Indigenous culture, sustainability, and connection to nature.
If you believe business can, and should, flow in harmony with nature, community, and culture, take inspiration from Moss & Milk. "It's just a really tangible way for businesses to give back to the land and to the community to really benefit everyone here." By following the lead of businesses like Moss & Milk and aligning with Indigenous stewardship and supporting local land and people-centred initiatives like the Tribal Parks Allies program, businesses can help build a future rooted in respect, connection, and sustainability for generations to come.
