Cedarwood Cove: A Waterfront Boutique Accommodation with Heart
Located on the calm shores of the Tofino inlet, Cedarwood Cove offers a boutique waterfront cabin experience that perfectly blends comfort with the wild beauty of the coast. Owned by lifelong nature enthusiasts Michelle and Alan Hall, this intimate retreat is perfect for those who want to feel at home on their travels, with the ocean, forests, and mountains in perfect view from the cabin’s picturesque windows.
On arrival to Tofino over a decade ago, Michelle and Alan fell in love with the coast, and married on a beach a short walking distance from Cedarwood Cove, fully embracing this area not just as a home, but as a calling to connect with it. Their vision for Cedarwood Cove began then- a place born from their love of nature, ocean adventures, and innate joy of meeting people from around the world.
Cedarwood Cove offers complimentary bikes, surf gear, yoga mats, and more- helping guests explore the area's beaches, forests, trails, and local spots easily. But more than a connective place to stay, Cedarwood Cove reflects Michelle and Alan’s deeper commitment to the work, play and life they embody on the unceded territory of the Tla-o-qui-aht First Nation, and proudly are Allies within the Tribal Park Allies program.
“We became an Ally about three years ago. My life is interconnected on a daily basis with Tla-o-qui-aht nation and Tribal Parks work so it felt like a really natural fit for our business to become an ally,” says Michelle. A portion of every booking at Cedarwood Cove is donated annually to support the Tribal Park Allies stewardship, conservation, and cultural protection in the area- a way they commit to giving back to the land and people who make places like this possible.
Choosing to partner with the Tla-o-qui-aht as a Tribal Park Ally is a statement of values for Cedarwood Cove. For other local businesses in the area, becoming a Tribal Park Ally is the most meaningful way to walk alongside Indigenous stewardship, support conservation efforts, and help preserve the natural and cultural heritage of this region.
